New work ! (UPDATED!)

I'm working in this new comic (a panel) ... new format, unpublished cartoons (cartoons to Oh Gosh! cartoons are published in Brazil) ... I still have no newspaper, or editor, nor the same name (this name PUTZ! is still not definitive ...) nothing ... But I'm going to risk this new job ... three comic strips, three black and white and the option of the last strip, colored...For all to know, and please leave your comments .... this return will be very important for me...

The drawings, as usual, instantly caught my eye. Great use of black and white. I really like the name Putz! This is the way to go with single panel cartoons these days, using the dimensions of a comic strip. Newspapers like that better. Of the two gags, I like the "flashlight on the painting" the most. Very subtle and effective. I think using no dialog also works. Purely visual comics can appeal to every language in the world. So far, I think you're off to a very solid start. Please keep it up!

Looks good. Sell it to the same paper running the other stuff. Then you can make 2x the money..haha

You have certainly made a good start. Obviously you will need to demonstrate that you can maintain a consistently high quality of humor on an ongoing basis to sell this comic. It's a good name but may be too restrictive. That name suggests that the main character is a doofus or a dope etc. If that's your plan then keep the name, if you're not making the strip centered on that premise then perhaps another more appropriate name might be in order. Best of luck.

The comics are looking good. I like the take on the garden of eden. It's a joke that's only obvious once you actually see it. Otherwise, almost no one would think about it. That's the kind of humor I like.

Keep it up!

I agree with Stephen - that the single panel is a nice style, and with the comment about having a purely visual strip that works in many languages.

I also agree with JP - the name has connotations for the main character which depend on your intention.

Overall, I like this very much :) Best of luck with it!!

I like the premise. It's a thinking man's cartoon. I like that. I definitely like the Adam and Eve strip, funny stuff.

I like the title of the comic "Putz!". The single panel gags i appreciate as well. Very well done over all.

I think name is fine. There was a comic called "The Born Loser" that ran for a long time and it did a variety of topics with no problems. Being strictly visual will be hard, but there are tons of site gags, so I think you have a great concept that is worth pursuing. The proof is if you can crank out 100 of these things! Good luck and it looks like a great start.

The line work is very clean, looks professional. I could see this work in a newspaper. Your colouring on Oh Gosh is very good too. "Putz" is a slang word for penis in some places, though.

You continue to develop the concept, just keep them coming. The name is not as important as the humor, it just needs to be easy to remember and unique.

Great work! I love the art on these and the title is really good in my opinion. :) I have to agree with an earlier comment that the flashlight on the painting is my favorite so far.

Looks good! The art style is very consistent and the gags are worth a chuckle. The coloring is very nice as well. Keep it up! :)

Very good stuff. I have a very hard time doing captionless cartoons, so I'm envious! Your drawing itself is very strong and bold, so I can be show reduced in size and still work.

Nice crisp drawings. Good-natured, straight forward humor. I love one-panel comic strips. You pull it off well!

I love these! The one with the psych and the dust-mop: I'd leave off the word "lady". A psych would never address their client that way. They'd use their name, or nothing.

Good job on these. They make me laugh :`)

Pretty Cool. If your publishing in South America culturally I don't think I could even guess a title. Putz seems to have a nice ring to it.
